DESCRIPTION: On the eve of COP 27\,  we host Arancha González (Spain’s form
 er Minister of Foreign Affairs and the current Dean of the Paris School of

 oney</a> (Vice Dean\, Paris School of International Affairs)\, and <a href=
 "https://www.sciencespo.fr/psia/celine-cantat.html">Celine Cantat</a> (Dire
 ctor of the Paris School of International Affairs’ Masters in Environmental
  Policy and International Energy programs) for a discussion with UBC POLI a
 nd IR undergraduates about climate and the global commons.</p><p>[accordion

 ancha González is the third Dean of PSIA at Sciences Po and first woman to 
 lead the world's third school for Politics and International Studies. Prior
  to joining PSIA\, Ms González served as Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affair
 s\, European Union and Cooperation (2020-2021). She previously was Assistan
 t-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of the Int
 ernational Trade Centre (2013-2020). Between 2005 and 2013 she served as Ch
 ief of Staff to the Director-General of the World Trade Organization\, Pasc
 al Lamy. Before that she held senior positions at the European Commission i
 n the areas of international trade and development. Ms González started her
  career as lawyer in the private sector.[/accordion][/accordions]</p><p>[ac

 Mark Maloney is the Executive Director and Vice Dean of the Paris School of
  International Affairs (PSIA) at Sciences Po. He joined PSIA in Autumn 2017
  from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE)\, where he
  spent nearly 15 years\, initially as Head of Student Administration (2003-
 08) and subsequently as Head of Academic Partnerships (2008-17) and Directo
 r of LSE Careers (2016-17). In combination\, these roles have provided Mark
  with a comprehensive understanding of how a leading social sciences univer
 sity works and how a global network of contacts can be developed.[/accordio
 n][/accordions]</p><p>[accordions collapsible=true active=false][accordion 
 title="Dr. Céline Cantat"]Céline Cantat holds a PhD in Social Sciences from
  the University of East London\, an MSc in Globalisation and Development fr
 om SOAS\, University of London\, and a BA in European Studies from King’s C
 ollege London. Her academic work has focused on migration\, humanitarianism
 \, solidarity mobilisation and the relation between macro processes\, such 
 as globalisation and state formation\, and the forced movement of people wi
 thin and across borders. She has also worked on higher education and in par
 ticular on the politics of university access. She is the author of a range 
 of scientific articles and the editor of three edited volumes. Céline had a
 lso taught a range of courses in France\, the UK and Hungary and has been a
  visiting Lecturer at PSIA since 2020.[/accordion][/accordions]</p><p>[grav
