 n Tuesday\, November 23 from 5:15-6:45 pm in IBLC 182.

 /p><p><strong>Pre-Event Question Wall</strong> <strong>and Mingle</strong> 
 <strong>(5:15-5:30 pm)</strong>: We will be opening up the event space shor
 tly after 5:00 to allow attendees to mingle and contribute responses to som
 e question stations which we will have set up around the room. The purpose 
 of these stations will be to give those in attendance a better sense of whe
 re their peers are at with their thinking around graduate school and the gr
 ad school application process.</p><p><strong>Part 1 (5:30-6:10 pm)</strong>
 : The Undergraduate Program Chair\, Graduate Program Chair\, and Graduate P
 rogram Coordinator (Dr. Andrew Owen\, Dr. Arjun Chowdhury\, and Chris Ferna
 ndez) will open the event with a discussion about deciding and applying to 
 go to graduate school followed by an audience Q&A. In this portion of the e
 vent\, we plan to cover:</p><ul><li>The different types of graduate program
 s open to POLI majors\;</li><li>How one knows if graduate school is the rig
 ht next step for them\; and</li><li>Advice on how to approach the applicati
 on process (based on the speakers’ experiences applying for their own MA/Ph
 D programs and reviewing MA/PhD applications).</li></ul><p><strong>Part 2 (
 6:10-6:45 pm)</strong>: Current UBC POLI MA and PhD students will speak abo
 ut their own experiences of the grad school application process and graduat
 e school generally followed by an audience Q&A.</p><p>*Please note that thi
