MEMO: DEPARTMENT OF POLITICAL SCIENCE, THE UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA CALL FOR APPLICATIONS TO TEACH IN:
WINTER SESSION TERM 2 (January – April 2027) for POLI 380: Quantitative Methods in Political Science, scheduled for in-person delivery on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:00-3:20 pm.
The department will begin reviewing applications on September 1st and will accept applications until September 15th.
Preference will be given to applicants with a Ph.D. and experience in teaching at the college or university level, but applicants without a Ph.D. who are ABD will also be considered. Applicants must have demonstrated training and expertise in quantitative methods, as well as experience teaching introductory statistics.
The minimum salary for a 3-credit course in the Faculty of Arts is currently $10,538.94.
All positions are subject to funding and are governed by UBC’s “Agreement and Conditions of Appointment for Sessional Lecturers.” In accordance with Canadian immigration requirements, priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
