About
Kim is a PhD student at the University of British Columbia working on international relations and international organizations. Under the supervision of Katharina Coleman, her research delves into peace operations and the politics of consent. She focuses on the relationship between the United Nations and host countries during statebuilding processes. She holds an M.A and a B.A from the University of Montreal.
She previously interned at the United Nations with the Justice and Corrections Service within the Department of Peace Operations in 2024. From September 2025 to June 2026, she will be a visiting researcher at Yale as part of the Fox Fellowship.
