Dr Swaran Singh is currently Visiting Professor, Department of Political Science, University of British Columbia (Vancouver Campus); Professor and former Chair, Centre for International Politics Organisation and Disarmament, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (New Delhi) and President of Association of Asia Scholars and Adjunct Fellow at The Charhar Institute (Beijing) Senior Fellow Institute of National Security Studies Sri Lanka) and Visiting Professor, Yunnan University of Economic and Finance (China).

His recent books include Multilateralism in the Indo-Pacific: Conceptual and Operational Challenges (London: Routledge 2023 announced), Revisiting Gandhi: Legacies for World Peace and National Integration (Singapore: World Scientific, 2022) and Corridors of Engagement (New Delhi: Knowledge World 2020). He has been formerly Visiting Professor/Scholar at Australian National University, Beijing University, Chuo, Kyoto and Hiroshima Universities, University of Philippines, Science Po (Bordeaux), Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, Xiamen University and others. He sits on board of several selection committees and Editorial/Advisory Boards of several journals are regularly comments on Asian Affairs (especially China) in a range of visual, audio, print and online media.

Prof Singh has already supervised award of 39 PhDs and over 50 MPhil degrees and is Board Members of institutions like Society of Indian Ocean Studies, Communities Without Borders and he regularly lectures at various national and international defence and academic institutions at home and abroad.  He has published in reputed journals like Columbia Journal of International AffairsJournal of Indian Ocean Region, Issues and Studies, BIISS Journal and regularly writes for newspapers like Asia TimesChina DailyGlobal Times. He has fourteen books to his credit and works with several institutions of higher learning in China and East Asia.
