SFU / NATO Field School Program

The NATO Field School is an annual summer program coordinated by Simon Fraser University for 3rd/4th year students who are interested in furthering their experience in the realm international relations, security studies and defence studies. The 12-credit, 9-week extended field school begins with 5-weeks in Western Canada and 4-weeks in Europe. Students will engage, observe and simulate professionals and experts in their workplaces including NATO HQ, NATO Defense College, EU Military Staff HQ, and Centre for Strategic Communications. The simulation program is designed to equip students with the skills, experience, and confidence to embark on a variety of careers ranging from government, diplomacy, foreign policy, military, multilateral organizations, international business, and NGOs.
