Kwey, Kelsey nidijinikàz. Kweia (Quyon) nidonjabà. Omàmiwinini Anishinaabekwe ndàwKelsey Brady is currently pursuing her PhD in political theory at UBC under the joint supervision of Glen Sean Coulthard and Anna Jurkevics. She received her Joint Honours Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Political Science, as well as her Master of Arts degree in Political Science (Political Theory) at McGill University, both under the supervision of Jacob T. Levy. Her dissertation seeks to decolonize dominant conceptions of territory in the literature today, by proposing Indigenous duty-based stewardship approaches to the natural world as alternatives to existing property-like conceptions of territory and territorial “rights.” She has previously worked as a high-school tutor for the Cree School Board (Waskaganish, Eeyou Istchee), as Youth Program Coordinator at Native Montreal (Friendship Center), and as Manager of Funding Development and Administration at the First Peoples Justice Center of Montreal.
