Our commitment to outstanding education, research, and outreach wouldn’t be possible without the support of our alumni, friends, and partners.
At UBC Political Science, we generate ideas that improve and inspire. You can have a lasting impact on generations of students and scholars through your involvement and investment.
Political Science Priorities Fund
Strength in research and enriched learning opportunities are ongoing priorities for our department and students. Support for the Political Science Priorities Fund will enable us to create new research opportunities for our students in the absence of travel research due to short-term travel restrictions.
Mark Zacher Fund
Support the Mark Zacher Distinguished Visitor Program, which brings prominent scholars in international affairs to UBC annually to provide public lectures and enhanced in-class learning. This program was established in memory of Mark Zacher, a beloved professor in our department for nearly forty years, and includes a talk and reception to bring our alumni community together with our faculty and students.
Professor Jean Laponce Memorial Prize in Political Science
Support undergraduate honours students through this annually awarded prize to the best honours thesis. Created in memory of professor Jean Laponce, UBC’s first full-time political scientist.
