Parker’s research is at the intersection of comparative politics and international relations, with a regional focus on China and Africa. His substantive research interests lie in questions of public opinion, policy framing, Sino-African relations, and Sino-US relations. He employs a variety of methods in his research, including (survey) experiments, time series analysis, archival data, and interviews.
