Yongzheng (Parker) Li is a doctoral candidate at the Department of Political Science, University of British Columbia (UBC). He received his MA in Political Science from UBC in 2019 and his BSc. in Global China Studies from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2016.

Research

Parker’s research is at the intersection of comparative politics and international relations, with a regional focus on China and Africa. His substantive research interests lie in questions of public opinion, policy framing, Sino-African relations, and Sino-US relations. He employs a variety of methods in his research, including (survey) experiments, time series analysis, archival data, and interviews.
