Please join us for an IR Colloquium lecture by UBC Political Science Visiting Professor Swaran Singh titled, “The Essential Nature of China-India Relations.”

Professor Swaran Singh, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi

Dr. Swaran Singh is currently visiting professor with the Department of Political Science at UBC. He is a full-time professor of diplomacy and disarmament at the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (New Delhi). He is also a Fellow of the Canadian Global Affairs Institute and President of the Association of Asia Scholars. Professor Singh specializes in international security, especially Asian affairs and China’s foreign and security policies. His last book was Revisiting Gandhi: Legacies for World Peace and National Integration, published by World Scientific Singapore. His new book, Multilateralism in the Indo-Pacific: Conceptual and Operational Challenges, has just been published by Routledge. Another book, Enter the Dragon: China and the Indo-Pacific, will be published by Palgrave Macmillan early next year.
