UBC Political Science student James Achuli recounts his story from child soldier in South Sudan to college in Canada

“I never thought in my life that I would actually go to college and get a college degree because you know, coming from my background, it was just something that we never thought would happen,” James Achuli said. He now studies international relations and political science at UBC, and has plans to write an autobiography in order to inspire others.
