Professor Andrew Owen’s research project entitled We’re only Human? Educative Frameworks for Artificial Intelligence, Academic Integrity, and Writing in the Faculty of Arts has been awarded a UBC Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund grant.
As a principal co-investigator, Professor Owen aims to extend and adapt the educational framework to suit new challenges and opportunities to teaching and writing presented by GenAI. This includes creating a network of Faculty of Arts faculty and IT staff to collaborate and create materials on GenAI and writing that builds on scholarship from academic integrity studies.
