We were thrilled to host Professor Kathryn Stoner (Stanford University) as this year’s March Zacher Distinguished Speaker last week.
The Mark Zacher Distinguished Speaker Lecture is our biggest event of the year, bringing together students, alumni, faculty and staff for a presentation by a prominent scholar, leader, or senior elected official who has made a significant contribution to the field of international relations.
This year, Prof. Kathryn Stoner presented a lecture titled, “Russia’s War on Ukraine: What You Should Know and Why You Should (Still) Care.” She discussed why Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine in February 2022, what Putin wants, what damage he has inflicted on Ukraine, and what this means for Russia’s own economic and political evolution.
Her lecture is now available to watch via our YouTube channel.
