Yves Tiberghien appointed as the Canadian Chair on the International Steering Committee of PAFTAD

Professor Yves Tiberghien was appointed to the International Steering Committee of PAFTAD, the prestigious network of international economists and former policy-makers from APEC countries.  He is replacing Wendy Dobson (Economics, Toronto) as the Canadian Chair in that seat for a mandate of 7 years.  Dr. Tibergien is also the first political economist appointed to that group of international economists.  It is an excellent network to access top academics, ministers of economics, trade, and finance across the Asia-Pacific.   PAFTAD received endowed funding from the governments of Canada, Australia, and Japan in 1999.

The below photo shows Dr. Tiberghien with prominent former ministers from Indonesia and around Asia.
