We do research on federalism, public policy, the judicial system, the constitution, citizen behaviour, political psychology, Canadian identity, local politics, migration, elections, and political parties. We examine the intersection of national identity, multiculturalism, immigration, language, and regionalism in shaping political life. One unifying thread in our research is citizens’ reactions to public policy and whether public policy responds to public opinion and citizen action. We welcome graduate students who wish to study any of these topics.
