Comparative Politics

The Comparative Politics subfield dives into the complexities of political systems and processes across the globe. Our faculty explore pressing issues like democratization, authoritarianism, political institutions, political economy, public opinion, social movements, public policy, human rights, race and ethnic politics, immigration, citizenship, and environmental politics.

With expertise spanning North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, we analyze political dynamics at both global and local levels. By comparing diverse systems, we uncover how political structures evolve, respond to challenges, and shape societies.
