The International Relations subfield examines the forces shaping global politics in an era defined by interconnectedness and division. Our faculty investigate critical topics such as international conflict, diplomacy, global governance, and cooperation, alongside urgent issues like climate change, environmental sustainability, global trade, immigration, and territorial disputes.
Through diverse methodologies and interdisciplinary approaches, we explore how states, organizations, and individuals navigate geopolitical rivalries, the rise of populism, and regionalism. Our research and teaching provide students with the analytical tools to understand and address the complexities of a rapidly changing global landscape.
